In 2021, the New York-based brand KITH teamed up with the family of the late Nelson Mandela to create a capsule collection honoring the values and legacy of this global icon, in celebration of Nelson Mandela Day. The collection features a range of crewnecks and short- and long-sleeve t-shirts in classic colorways of white, black, and dark green. Each piece is thoughtfully adorned with powerful illustrations, iconic quotes from Mandela's fight against inequality, and archival photos capturing different moments of his life—from his youth, to his years of imprisonment, to his time as the President of South Africa. Some of the garments feature the MANDELA KITH branding on the chest, while others showcase the co-branding more prominently on the front or back. This capsule serves as both a tribute to Mandela's enduring impact and a reminder of the values he fought for.
